Where did the week go? Dress opinions needed!
I swear it feels like yesterday I was typing the weekend recap....
I baked several loaves of bread to mail to my grandparents & parents back home, did some painting, cleaning, etc.
Just had an all around good week.
Little did I know the surprise I was going to come home to last night.
My husband bought a MONSTROUS TV & had it set up in the living room when I got home from shopping last night.
I mean, Monstrous is not even an exaggeration. I know that I'm prone to that, but this thing is HUGE. Like 62inches huge.
He was watching a football game & I didn't even know where on the screen to look.
It's going to take some getting used to.
He bought it from a friend of ours that is going through a tough time finacially. He needed the money & while we really didn't need this movie screen in our house, I am proud of him for buying it to help someone out. We had been looking at tv's anyways, granted not quite that big...but looking nonetheless.
The plus side is, the entertainment center it is sitting on totally matches our other living room furniture.
I was very pleased
I will have to take a picture & post later.
If I can get it all in my camera frame that is....
I also wanted all of your opinions, I think I found the dress I want to get for the Georgia game.
I have been looking at this dress forever but just never bought it. I think that I may go ahead & get it for the game though. Pair it with some cute red & black accessories?
What do you think?

All kinds of pics: Flowers, Letters & Georgia Dawgs
Ready for the Weekend Recap?
I had a great one, & I hope all of you did too!
We went to a local high school football game Friday night, unfortunately they lost this one.
Much to the dismay of my husband & all of his former teammates....
I just love football season though.
High school games are so much fun!
On Sunday, My amazing husband bought me these!
Aren't they beautiful?
He buys me "just because" flowers sometimes & I absolutely love it.
He always brings them home in their original package & lets me arrange them, because he knows how much I enjoy doing it.
Naturally, I added the cute little black & white bow to go with the bright red flowers & If you know why, I'll love you forever.....
On Friday, I went over to my friend MC's house & painted these for her nursery!
(pardon the messy cardboard, they were still drying.)
They match her bedding. Aren't they adorable?
I have some cute white ribbon & bows that I am going to hang them on the wall over her crib with.
I'll be sure & post some pics of the finished product!
Now the moment we have all been waiting for.........
My wonderful husband & I will be watching Georgia vs. Arizona State
IN ATHENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On Saturday, September 26th, 2009
I won some tickets on E-bay.
I was bidding on several different sets of tickets, & I didn't really care which ones I ended up with.
Telling him about them was the highlight of my weekend too. He was so thrilled.
I absolutely can.not.wait!
Can you tell how totally pumped I am about this?
I'm so so so excited!
Now to pick out the perfect dress....

Help me out here...
I recently came across a website.
Not just any website, Pre-owned wedding dresses.com.
The ad said "Sell your dress, pocket the cash."
This caused my mind to go in several different places all at the same time & left me sitting here alone & confused.
My first thought: "What a neat idea"
Second: " I would love to have about $500+ in spending money"
Third: "Wait, would you really want to SELL your dress?"
Fourth: "I know it's just hanging in the closet...but get rid of it?"
Fifth: "No, I want to keep it for my children"
Sixth: "Not that they would ever want to wear it, it will likely be stored in an attic somewhere."
Seventh: " I could totally buy my Kitchen-aid mixer & the camera with that kind of money."
Eighth: "Does selling it put some kind of voodoo jinx on me?"
Ninth: " Does even contemplating it put some voodoo jinx on me?"
Tenth: "I'll just keep it...Let my children sell it after I'm dead & they can worry about the voodoo jinx."
So help me out here. How do YOU feel about this?
I mean on one hand there is the sentimental value. I LOVE that dress. Have since the moment I laid eyes on it. It's my wedding dress. Could I ever really part with it? Would I regret it the rest of my life? Would it make me resent the mixer & camera? Childish? maybe. Possible? quite.
On the other hand, there is the extra cash. Which is always nice. I could buy some things that I need/want. It's going to just sit in the closet from now on anyways.
Then there is the voodoo jinx.......positive I don't want to go down that route.
What do you think?
Could you do it?

24 Days!!!!
Until the first game of the season!!!!
Gooooooo Dawgs! Sic'em! WOOT WOOT WOOT!
This is one of my absolute favorite things about fall!
Ready for the secret?
I'm also working on buying some tickets to the Georgia vs. South Carolina game.
I'm trying to surprise my DH because he has never been to a game @ Georgia, but he's been wanting to go sooo bad.
Cross your fingers that I get it worked out. This would mean so much to him!

Recap: Baby Shower & Diaper Cake
Mc's Baby Shower was yesterday!
She was thrilled, lots of people showed up & she got so many amazing things!
That little girl is going to be stylin'!
I didn't have my camera, so you guys will have to wait for the rest of the pictures, but in case you were wondering ( I know I was)....
my diaper cake was a big success.
Everybody really liked it!
That made me so happy. I'm always so worried about the things that I make, I guess because when you really put your heart into something it makes you more nervous if other people will like it....
Here it is again.
I hope all of you had an amazing weekend!

Waiting for meteors....give thanks upon a star
Here I am, 12:45 am, waiting for the meteor shower.
I have never seen one before so I'm pretty excited. I'm not really sure what to expect.
I hope to see something soon, because even though I would love to see this thing, I'm pretty ready to go to bed too.
Sad right? I guess it's one of those signs that you are getting older.
The giddy child-like anticipation of seeing something streak across the sky is still there but not quite as strong as it used to be.
I loved wishing on shooting stars as a kid.
It seems like there was always something to wish for.
A new toy, the cute boy in my class, whatever popped in my head at the moment.
I always came up with something, even if I had to think about it for a minute.
Tonight is different though.
I don't know what to wish for & according to the weatherman, it's possible that I could have a chance at wishing over 80 times!
Not knowing what to wish for is a good sign though, I think.
I take it to mean that I am content with my life & I truly am.
I have an amazing husband who is also my best friend. I have a fantastic family. The freedom to be a stay-at-home wife. We have been blessed with a wonderful church & great friends. Our business is thriving.
God has truly blessed us in so many ways.
So tonight, Maybe instead of wishing....
I will give thanks for something I already have.
I know I can find 80 things to be thankful for.

Puppy Pics!
Anybody need a little dose of cuteness today?
I'm clearly sucking up for not being able to deliver on my promise to let you in on a little secret. So in efforts to keep you as my friends...
I have puppy pictures!
This is my boy when he was little.
Hurley!
Watching a little t.v.
Time for a close up!
He was so playful!
And this is him now. Handsome, huh?

So, just know that you are in good company because I'm right there with you.
We had a great time at the horse show though. Ended up coming home with one more horse than we came with.
James saw one he just had to have. She is really pretty though. I like her alot.
In fact, I may find a way to make her my new horse lol ; )

I'm Curious...
In an effort to make my blog the best it can be. I have a few questions for all of you.....
How did you find me?
Is there a reason why you chose to/not to become a follower?
Is there anything in particular that you would like me to write about?
Anything that you want to know about me?
I was noticing that this blog has had over 200 views in the past few weeks, & only 12 followers.
12 people love me enough to put up with my ramblings.
I want everyone to know that I love the comments you leave.
It's an awesome feeling to have someone comment on your thoughts. Totally makes my day.
You guys are great & I'm so glad I have you as friends!

The Mule Barn Chronicles
So for those of you that have been around for awhile, you know that when I refer to "The Mule Barn" I'm referring to our home.
Our little apartment is in fact, built on the side of a barn.
A barn that is used to house mules.
Nice right?
Yeah I know, but the rent is cheap so I'm not complaining.
There are many pastures split into groups that the mules are rotated into.
It just so happens that last night they were in one right by our bedroom window & the story goes something like this...
About 4 am I wake up to the sound of my dog barking, growling & just having an overall fit in the living room. I get up & peer down the hallway to see what's going on. From our bedroom, I can see a reddish orange glow coming through the blinds on the front window & door. Hurley is in the middle of the room barking at the front of the house.
The reddish orange glow caused one thought to go through my mind.....
Fire
I ran to the front door *half dressed of course* to look through the blinds & see if my fears were true. About the time I got to the door I hear....
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
I jump back. Covering my mouth to keep from screaming. Fire Doesn't Knock!!!
Of course, robbers don't usually knock either, so it was more the shock of being surprised that sent me running to the bedroom with my heart pounding.
By this point James is up.
*I know what you're thinking...why wasn't he the one investigating? I can honestly tell you that I have no idea. I guess I was still asleep enough at that point that I didn't realize that the practical thing to do would be to make him go check it out. But for the record, If I hadn't seen the fire like glow I would have been hiding under the covers. The thought of something burning causes you to do things that you normally wouldn't do.*
Me: *whispers* There's somebody at the door
James: Do what?
Me: There is someone AT the Door!
James: Are you sure?
Me: YES! He knocked when I was about to look for the fire!!
He goes to the door & opens it to see a truck leaving down the driveway but stopping up at the big farmhouse. At this point we both know what's going on.
There is no fire. My imaginary fire was the mysterious knocker's tailights.
Mules are loose.
JK, the guy that owns the barn & the mules lives up at the big farmhouse. The mysterious knocker had been ringing his doorbell. We all grab halters & lead ropes, jump in the truck & head for the last place they were seen.
Which of course was running down the highway. It never fails. Anytime something gets loose. Cows, horses, mules, whatever. They ALWAYS end up on a highway.
We drove around & found all 7 of them. They had split up in 3 different groups. 4 across the road, 2 down another road & one by himself.
The one by himself never left the farm.
After whatever happened causing them to run through the fence scaring the other 6 took off,
Ace the loner, saw it as an oppurtunistic time to run in the hay barn & eat however much he wanted.
Then once he saw all of us outside he came walking back to the barn. I wish they all were like Ace.....
After they were all put up and accounted for we went back to our homes & went back to bed.
I think it's because of nights like this that our rent is cheap.
